Job Title:
Assistant Cinema Manager

Job Purpose
Providing good customer service and facilities by assisting the Cinema Manager in managing staff, cost controls, facility maintenance in compliance of policies and procedures.

Major Responsibilities

1. Maintain Good Customer Service

  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure customers are satisfied.
  • Measuring and managing customer relationship continuously.
  • Compliance to standard operating procedures.

2. Maintenance of Premises and Equipment

  • Assist Cinema Manager to ensure good overall AMC service
  • Periodic inspections and upgrade works.
  • Maintaining Security for the customers and workplace.
  • Preventive maintenance to prolonging equipment shelf life.

3.  Reporting and Communication

  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly & monthly reports on due dates.
  • Analyze weakness and propose corrective actions.

5.  Financial and KPI Targets

  • Prompt daily banking.
  • Assist to prepare AOP, expenditures, analyzing variances and corrective action.
  • Forecasting admissions and film strength to plan and achieve KPI are maximized.

6.  Cinema Market Share

  • Identify customer’s interest
  • Maximizing display, trailers and shows.

7.  Continous Improvement & Development

  • Review and updating SOP periodically
  • Identify new methods of doing things better and faster

8.  Teamwork

  • Performing any other duties and responsibility that may be assigned by the Company.
  • Feedback and contribution that improve the overall performance of the Company.

Knowledge, Skills and Physical Requirements

  1. SPM/STPM/Diploma or higher qualifications.
  2. Minimum 1 years working experience in a similar capacity. However this is not a prerequisite as training will be provided.
  3. Applicant should be below 28 years.
  4. Good analytical skills
  5. Good communication (spoken & written) skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  6. Good hearing and hand-eye co-ordination.
  7. Physically and medically fit.
  8. A team player who is pleasant, approachable, hardworking, high willingness to learn, have an eye for details and good interaction skills.
  9. Able to work under pressure with multiple tasks/assignments to be completed within the same deadline and willing to put in longer working hours when required.
  10. Leadership capabilities to lead a group of subordinates.
