Accounts Assistant

Job Purpose
To assist the Accountant in the day-to-day finance related activities.

Major Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in the systems on regular basis for account payable, daily cash collections and all others as required.
  • Prepare reconciliation of bank/creditors statements.
  • Prepare journal entries and make adjustments as and when necessary.
  • Check and verify invoices before preparing approval documents for payment.
  • Handle petty cash and staff claims.
  • Handle and prepare part-time staff salary.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Minimum LCCI qualifications with 1 year of related working experience
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Good in computer skills such as MS Words and Excel. Knowledge in UBS system is an added advantage.
  • A team player who is pleasant, approachable, hardworking, high willingness to learn, have an eye for details and good discipline in adhering to deadlines.
  • Able to work under pressure and willing to put in longer working hours when required.
