Big cinemas launches ‘PRINT @ HOME’ FACILITY FOR BOOKING MOVIE TICKETS
- To be the first cinema chain in the country to offer this service
- E- ticketing facility now available at Coimbatore, Bengaluru and Hyderabad
Waiting in queues for tickets is now passé for the film buffs of Coimbatore as KG BIG Cinemas introduces the facility of e-ticketing for their customers in Coimbatore. BIG Cinemas, India’s largest cinema chain brings the Print @ Home facility for the first time in India
The service, available at select theatres in the three cities, will enable movie goers to enjoy the convenience of printing their tickets at home. Anyone can book the ‘Print @ Home’ tickets via the Big Cinemas website for a cinema where the ‘Print @ Home’ facility is available. The customer has to simply select the show details and proceed with a simple and easy booking process. On the payment page, the available options are for a Booking ID or Print @ Home Tickets. On selection of the Print @ Home option, the customer has to enter the names of the guests watching the movie, the first name being that of the credit card holder buying the tickets. The Print @ Home ticket can be printed on a normal A4 sized paper either from the Acknowledgement Page on the Big Cinemas web site or from the confirmation email. The customer(s) can directly enter the cinema on the day of the show where the Print @ Home ticket will be scanned and verified using a wireless PDA.
Big Cinemas is taking adequate steps to ensure that the entire booking process is secured. Each Print @ Home ticket is bar coded to maintain uniqueness along with critical customer data like customer name, credit card number (6…4 format) etc. for verification. The Big Cinemas Associate verifies the card holder’s name printed on the Print @ Home Ticket with the physical credit card. The bar codes are scanned using the PDA and validated to allow admission only to allow genuine customers.
Mr. Ashish Saksena, COO – Big Cinemas (South and West), says, “We at Big Cinemas believe that for the audience, the movie watching experience does not begin when the movie begins, but when they enter the cinema to buy their tickets. It is this experience that we would like to make as simple, smooth and memorable as possible. The Print @ Home ticket facility is a step in that direction and we are confident that it will be received positively.”
